Based in London, graphic designer Catherine McArdle completed her foundation course at Newcastle College, before studying graphic design at the University of Central Lancashire (formerly Preston Polytechnic), where she gained a first-class honours degree. 

Catherine has worked as a graphic designer in London for 16 years. She gained valuable experience at The Partners and worked for Tatham Design before taking a job at CDT Design. Here she worked with high-end clients in a wide variety of sectors, ranging from the arts to finance. Since then Catherine has worked as a freelance designer for a number of top design consultancies in London, including Sheppard Day, Enterprise IG, Marsteller, SAS and Salter Baxter. She also works directly with her own clients.

It was at Preston that Catherine developed her passion for great ideas in design. Her principle is that the best graphic design solutions are simple, bold and engaging. Most importantly they must have an enduring design concept, which will stand the test of time, connect with the audience and communicate powerfully. Each of Catherine’s design solution is tailored specifically to each client. She has a love of language, which is evident in her design solutions, and works hard to combine image and text to create a unique style.
